ARIEH MAX SACKE,
tenor

About Arieh

Praised for his "particularly effective" vocal-acting (Edmonton Scene), Arieh Max Sacke, a Toronto-born tenor now based in Montreal, has built a versatile career spanning opera, oratorio, and concert work across Canada and the United States. He recently completed his tenure as a McPhee Artist with Calgary Opera, where his roles included Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, the Minister in Nino Rota’s The Witty Squirrel, and the title role in Vittorio Giannini’s Beauty and the Beast.

With Cincinnati Opera, Arieh appeared as Giuseppe in La traviata. He has also been engaged as a Digital Emerging Artist with Manitoba Opera and as a Festival Artist with Opera Saratoga.

A sought-after oratorio soloist, Arieh has recently performed in major works including Mass in B Minor, The Creation, and St. John Passion. He is a co-founder and former member of two Toronto-based ensembles: the Fonitika Vocal Ensemble and The Java & Three.

In addition to his artistic work, Arieh serves as an Eastern Opera Region Councillor on the National Council of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association. He holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. He continues to sing while pursuing dual degrees in common and civil law at McGill University.
